Aevornix Guard privacy notice
What Aevornix Guard keeps, where it keeps it, and what leaves your computer. Aevornix Guard is endpoint security that runs on your own PC: scanning, behaviour monitoring, ransomware protection and quarantine happen locally against threat intelligence stored locally. It has no account, no cloud service, no telemetry, no analytics and no advertising.
What we collect
Nothing. Aevornix Guard sends nothing to us: scan results, detections, quarantined files, activity history and settings stay on your computer. We do not sell or share personal information, because we receive none.
What the application holds
Guard keeps its security state in C:\ProgramData\Aevornix\Guard, a folder only Windows (SYSTEM) and administrators can open. Everything below is kept there unless stated otherwise.
- Detections and scans
- The path, size, SHA-256 hash and publisher of each file Guard reports, the rule that matched and the action taken, and a record of each scan.
- Activity history
- Process starts, behaviour and ransomware events and incidents, with process paths and, unless you turn it off in settings, process command lines. Kept for 90 days by default; you can set 7 to 730 days.
- Applications and network activity
- The applications seen on the PC with their publishers and hashes, your trust and block decisions, and an hourly summary of each application’s connections: remote address, port and protocol. Traffic content is never read.
- Quarantine
- Quarantined files, encrypted with a key bound to the PC, until you restore or delete them.
- Settings and policy
- Protection settings, exclusions with the reason you gave, protected folders, network rules, threat intelligence packs and logs. The desktop application keeps its own display preferences in the application data folder of your Windows account.
What leaves your computer
Nothing by default: Guard starts in Fully Offline mode and makes no network connections.
- Threat pack updates
- Only if you choose Updates Only and set an update address, Guard downloads a signed threat pack manifest and pack from that HTTPS address. The request carries the Guard version and nothing about your PC or files.
- Exports
- Diagnostic exports and reports are written only to a file you choose, and are sent nowhere by Guard.
Updates and purchases
Licences are sold at the Aevornix Software Store at aevornix.online, whose privacy policy covers purchases. Guard contains no licence check and no usage reporting.
Removing your data
When you remove Guard, the uninstaller asks what to remove: the application only, the application and its history, or everything including the quarantine. A kept quarantine stays encrypted and bound to the PC. Removing everything deletes the Guard folder under ProgramData.
Children
Aevornix Guard is not directed at children.
Your rights and who to ask
Aevornix is an operating division of Oxford Private Studios Ltd, the publisher of Aevornix Guard. Because Guard keeps everything on your own computer and sends nothing to us, we hold nothing to give you access to, correct or erase. UK and EU data protection rights apply to anything we do hold, which is what you send us directly. Changes to this notice are published on this page.
