Aevornix AudioDJ privacy notice
What the Aevornix AudioDJ desktop application records, where it keeps it, and what leaves your computer. AudioDJ is a local audio studio: it opens your machine’s audio devices and your own files, and connects to nothing.
The microphone and other audio inputs
The application can record from a microphone, from an audio interface, or from whatever is playing on the computer. Recording starts when you press record and at no other time. There is no background recording, and no background capability is declared. The microphone permission is requested at install rather than at first use, so it appears in Windows privacy settings before anything is recorded.
What the application holds
Everything below is on your own computer.
- What you record
- Takes are written to a folder you choose, as ordinary audio files. They are not uploaded, not analysed and not examined. Deleting the files removes them.
- Your projects
- A project file records which audio belongs where, what you set each control to, and what plugins a track carries. It is saved where you put it.
- Settings and recent work
- Your chosen audio devices, window layout and recent projects are kept in the application data folder, so the product opens where you left it.
- A crash record
- If the application closes unexpectedly it writes what failed to your computer, so the fault can be described rather than guessed at. It is not sent anywhere.
- A diagnostics report, only if you ask for one
- Help offers a report describing the machine and the state of the audio engine. It states exactly what it will contain before it is produced, and it is written to a file you choose. Sending it to anybody is a file you attach yourself.
What leaves your computer
One destination, and only when you ask for it.
- A publishing destination you configured
- If you use the publishing feature to send a finished recording somewhere, that audio and the release information you entered go to the destination you chose. With nothing configured, the product prepares the release and states plainly that nothing was sent.
- Nothing to Aevornix
- There is no account, no sign in, no telemetry, no analytics, no advertising identifier, no crash reporting and no licensing check. Recording, editing, mixing, rendering, exporting, saving and reopening a project all happen with no network of any kind, measured across a whole session at zero connections opened.
Plugins you install
An audio plugin is somebody else’s software, and what it does is governed by whoever wrote it rather than by this notice. AudioDJ opens each plugin in a separate process when it catalogues what is installed, so a plugin that fails cannot cost you your work while it is being examined.
Removing your data
Your recordings and projects are your own files, wherever you saved them, and deleting them removes them. Uninstalling removes the application. The application data folder is kept so that reinstalling does not cost you your settings; delete the Aevornix AudioDJ folder inside your Windows application data directory to remove that as well, including any crash record.
Your rights and who to ask
Aevornix is an operating division of Oxford Private Studios Ltd. Because the application keeps your work on your own computer and sends us nothing, we hold no recordings, projects or usage data to disclose, correct or erase. UK and EU data-protection rights still apply to any information you send us directly, such as a support enquiry. Requests go to the data-protection address on the contact page, and the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
